OCMC News - You Did So Much for Missions in 2018! There are Ways to Do Even More in 2019!

As 2018 draws to a close, we invite you to reflect on the amazing witness to the Orthodox Faith that you made possible! You helped make the ministries of 28 long-term missionaries and specialists possible around the world. You helped send 25 mission teams that taught the Faith, ministered to youth and women, provided healthcare, and offered critical outreach. You helped support nearly 400 Orthodox clergy serving in countries where the Church is growing fast! You shared the Faith on every continent except Antarctica!

As we begin 2019, the Orthodox Christian Mission Center is preparing to help you do even more. In the coming months we hope to deploy 7 more long-term missionaries, more than 150 short-term team volunteers, more than 400 clergy, and countless projects that will transform the lives people around the world with Christ’s love.

There are more ways to support this mission than you might think and as we greet the new year, we ask (those around the world thirsting for Christ’s love ask), that you prayerfully consider the mission of the Church in the following ways:
  • Join the Sts. Cyril and Methodius Society: One-time gifts make a difference but a recurring monthly gift in support of the OCMC can make an impact for years to come. Join the special group of people who make missions possible each and every month at https://www.ocmc.org/donate/recurring_giving.aspx.
  • Increase Impact through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC): Federal employees can have their support of missions matched by the Government. OCMC’s CFC number is: 10304. Learn more at https://www.opm.gov/combined-federal-campaign/.
Thank you for your continued prayers and for helping to take the Orthodox Faith to the ends of the Earth. We look forward to sharing stories and pictures from the mission field as the year unfolds.

by OCMC Announcement (Posted 1/14/2019)

This year, Mission Sunday falls on March 10th. In this packet will also be an order form for coin boxes and Sunday School lesson plans – both are great ways to engage the youth of your parish in missions. If you would like someone from the Mission Center to visit your parish on Mission Sunday or sometime during Lent, please call us at 1-877-463-6784 or e-mail us at missions@ocmc.org.
