Την 16η Φεβρουαρίου 2019 ο Ορθόδοξος Πάπας και Πατριάρχης Αλεξανδρείας και πάσης Αφρικής κ.κ. Θεόδωρος Β', συνοδευόμενος από τον Σεβ.Μητροπολίτη Μπραζαβίλ και Γκαμπόν κ.Παντελεήμονα και τον Θεοφιλ. Επίσκοπο Βαβυλώνος κ.Θεόδωρο, αφίχθηκε αεροπορικώς στην συμπρωτεύουσα Pointe-Noire της Δημοκρατίας του Κονγκό.
Στο διεθνή αερολιμένα Agostino Neto τον Μακαριώτατο υπεδέχθησαν ο Εξοχ. κ.Alexandre Honoré Paka, ο ιερός κλήρος, οι ανώτατες στρατιωτικές και πολιτικές αρχές του τόπου και πλήθος πιστών.

Το απόγευμα ο Μακαριώτατος χοροστάτησε κατά τον Μ. Εσπερινό των Eγκαινίων στον Ιερό Καθεδρικό Ναό Αγίου Δημητρίου Pointe-Noire, αφού προηγουμένως κατέθεσε τα ιερά λείψανα επί της προς εγκαινισμόν αγίας τραπέζης.
